8:00 PM - Torosaurus roams the airwaves WPKN will turn to all things dinosaur as Valerie Richardson speaks Michael Anderson, the creator of the exciting new Torosaurus sculpture that is now overlooking Whitney Avenue from the Peabody Museum's front lawn. Anderson, a member of the Peabody staff since 1988 has an extensive background in comparative anatomy and is noted for his human reconstructions. The Torosaurus was one of the 16 dinosaurs first described by O.C. Marsh, the noted Peabody curator from 1867 to 1899. Friday, October 28 9:00 PM - The Doug Wahlberg Band A rebroadcast of a live performance at the WPKN studios recorded on October 1st. The Doug Wahlberg Band plays original music crafted with melodic hooks -- some gritty, some laid back but always hypnotic or driving -- that will etch their way into your memory. Occasionally a 70's influence can be detected but with a "renovated", updated feel.
