Saturday at 10:00 -- Bob Johnson will speak with Environmental Novelist Varda Burstyn about her new book Water, Inc. It is an eco thriller "that deals unflinchingly with what happens when dissenting voices are suppressed and when profit becomes the driving force in international politics." Her novel "combines real events with fictional characters and corporations to create a terrifying look at what the future may hold." Varda Burstyn won the Book of the Year Award from the North American Society for the Sociology of Sport for her nonfiction, The Rites of Men: Manhood, Politics and the Culture of Sport and has written many other works for film and television and scholarly publications.
