1) Joanne Landy and Thomas Harrison, co-directors of the Campaign for Peace and Democracy, discuss the decisions that President Obama must soon make on the direction of U.S. policy in the Afghan war -- and how his receiving the Nobel Peace Prize may effect a move toward further escalation of the conflict.

2) Jane Hamsher, founder and publisher of the online news site FireDogLake.com and author of the best selling book, "Killer Instinct," talks about where Congressional debate on healthcare reform is headed, and the role conservative Democrats will play in the outcome of a Senate vote on cloture needed to avoid a Republican fillibuster.

3) Brendan Cooney, a writer and anthropologist, explains why he believes Republican Party legislators have broken the law by traveling to Honduras to provide support for the illegal government installed by a coup there in June.

4) Martin Stolar, the attorney representing Elliot Madison, a man arrested by the FBI for his role in coordinating a communications network for protesters at the recent Group of 20 summit in Pittsburgh, using text messaging like Twitter, talks about what's at stake int the case for civil liberties.

At 6:30 p.m. come to a free forum entitled American Values and Health Reform: Are They Connectable? presented by the Reverend Donald McKinney, an authority on the ethics of health care decision making and right to die issues.

From 10:00am – 5:00pm, come to the Yale Peabody Museum for A Celebration of North American Native Cultures. The day will feature crafts, games and storytelling with an 11 a.m. performance by Grammy-nominated North American flute player Joseph Fire Crow in this year's focus on North American Native peoples. From 10:30am to noon come to the community room of the New Haven Free Public Library, 133 Elm Street, across from the Green, for an Urban Garden Workshop. Rachel Ziesk, Certified Master Gardener, will discuss and give great tips for closing your garden and how to maximize your garden for the fall/winter and early spring. Q&A following discussion.
