The Singers Circle Tuesday afternoon

These lovely and talented sisters will be talking it up with hosts Melissa Mulligan and Suzanne Vick, and playing some of their wonderful music live on the air! The Mammals, one of the country's best Americana roots bands (featuring Pete Seeger's grandson, Tao Rodriguez Seeger), will play a special benefit concert at United Congregational Church, 877 Park Avenue in Bridgeport, on Friday, February 17 at 8 p.m. The concert will benefit listener-supported WPKN (89.5 FM) and the church itself.The concert takes place in the church's Pilgrim Hall.     Beat the blizzard--come to a live music brunch today!

    A live performance featuring three local bands will be on the radio today, and you're invited to the show. We'll be serving bagels in our "living room studio." Two teen groups from Westport are up first. The Squares and Hot Water Variety will start around 10:15AM. Hot Water Variety just won first place in Westport's First Night Festivities, a Battle of the Bands contest. We are also pleased to feature at around 12:45 p.m. a local favorite: The Rafter Bats.

Friday, February 17, 9 p.m. Americana Roots Band the Mammals Plays Bridgeport WPKN Benefit The Mammals, one of the countrys best Americana roots bands (featuring Pete Seeger's grandson, Tao Rodriguez Seeger), will play a special benefit concert at United Congregational Church, 877 Park Avenue in Bridgeport, on Friday, February 17 at 8 p.m. The concert will benefit listener-supported WPKN (89.5 FM) and the church itself.The concert takes place in the churchs Pilgrim Hall.
