  • 12:30 p.m. - Postponed from last month, Charles Cobb Jr. Discusses his book "On the Road to Freedom." Cobb is a former organizer and field secretary for SNCC (Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee). From Powell’s books “This in-depth look at the civil rights movement goes to the places where pioneers of the movement marched, sat-in at lunch counters, gathered in churches; where they spoke, taught, and organized; where they were arrested, where they lost their lives, and where they triumphed.”
  • 1:00 p.m. - My guest is singer/songwriter Jo Williamson. She will perform for a live audience in our “living room” studios. The WPKN staff welcomes our listeners and volunteers as we prepare for our spring fund raising. Admission is free, doors open and refreshments will be served beginning at noon.
