3 p.m. Tuesday: Jeff Wignall Interviews Danny Kalb

On Tuesday, September 18 at 3 p.m. Jeff Wignall will be doing a phone interview with guitarist and singer Danny Kalb, the founder of the Blues Project. The Blues Project's live album "Live at Cafe Au Go Go" was a landmark album in the 1960's and remains one of the finest live albums ever recorded. Danny disappeared from the music scene for many years but is now back touring with another founding member of the Blue Project, Steve Katz. Danny has several new cds in the works and has also just released a new CD with Stefan Grossman and Steve Katz called "Played a Little Fiddle." Danny has an amazing story to tell, about the 60's, about the music business and about his extraordinary comeback. He's also outspoken socially and politically and is one of the most well-read and interesting people I've ever spoken to. He was a close friend and music partner of Dave Van Ronk.
