Assault on the USS Liberty

10:00 p.m. - History Counts On June 8, 1967, the Liberty, a U.S. Navy ship, was the target of an unprovoked attack by the Israeli air force and navy while stationed in international waters off the coast of Gaza. The attack left 3/4 of the Liberty’s crew dead or wounded and the ship barely afloat. Our guest James Ennes, an officer on the Liberty, gives an eyewitness account of the attack and considers why no Liberty crew survivor has been given the opportunity to testify before Congress.
