  • 10:00 a.m. - There are two books from USA Today just out “The Busy Family’s Guide to Money” and “The Work From Home Handbook.” The authors will be on hand to discuss their work.
  • 10:40 a.m. - The Best Selling author of “Misquoting Jesus,” Bart D. Ehrman talks about his new work “God’s Problem: How the Bible Fails to Answer Our Most Important Question- Why We Suffer.” Ehrman is the James A. Gray Distinguished Professor of religious studies at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.
  • 11:00 a.m. - This hour, we speak with Gourmet chef Robin Jeep who has written "Antioxidant Diet" with cellular physiologist Dr. Richard Couey. They present a new life plan that will reverse the damage your body has suffered and make you feel good again.
  • 11:20 a.m. - Guest Martha Frankel celebrity interviewer and author of the new memoir “Hats and Eyeglasses.” In the book she frankly explores how she became addicted to online poker and almost lost it all.
  • 11:40 a.m. - Part I of my extended conversation with Felicia C. Sullivan the author of “The Sky isn’t Visible From Here.” At press time Felicia and I are scheduled to have lunch at Naidre’s in Brooklyn.
  • 12:00 noon - A special broadcast of "History Counts" hosted by Ken MacDermotRoe & produced by David Schwartz. Guest Dr. Michael Parenti discusses his latest book Julius Caesar, the Last Roman Populist. With his re-examination of the career and murder of Julius Caesar, political analyst and author Parenti shows that Julius Caesar was the last in a century long line of populist leaders in the late Roman Republic.
  • 12:30 p.m. - Postponed from last month, Charles Cobb Jr. Discusses his book "On the Road to Freedom." Cobb is a former organizer and field secretary for SNCC (Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee). From Powell’s books “This in-depth look at the civil rights movement goes to the places where pioneers of the movement marched, sat-in at lunch counters, gathered in churches; where they spoke, taught, and organized; where they were arrested, where they lost their lives, and where they triumphed.”
  • 1:00 p.m. - My guest is singer/songwriter Jo Williamson. She will perform for a live audience in our “living room” studios. The WPKN staff welcomes our listeners and volunteers as we prepare for our spring fund raising. Admission is free, doors open and refreshments will be served beginning at noon.
