12:30 p.m. - History Counts "The Execution of Martin Luther King" Although the authorities claim that Martin Luther King's April 4, 1968 assassination was the work of a lone gunman, in 1999 a civil trial jury in a wrongful death action brought by the King family found that Dr. King was assassinated by a number of conspirators including government agents.
