Hartford Courant journalist Susan Eaton will discuss “The Children in Room E4” her book that skillfully documents the Sheff class action civil rights case that shook up CT education in the 90's. Eaton follows the case and writes about its current impact on the de facto legal segregation of US Schools. The Courant says that “...Eaton spent a couple of years at Simpson-Waverly School studying its children... [and] contends that the Sheff vs. O’Neill lawsuit was a valiant but largely ineffectual attempt to desegregate the city’s schools.”

Sherry Boschert, author of “The Plug-in Hybrid: The Cars That Will Recharge America.” The auto industry is reluctantly undergoing major and fundamental changes in the way cars are manufactured. The book is kind of a companion to the film “Who Killed The Electric Car?”

Phillip Tirman, MD w/Maureen Petrosky- Both are authors of wine and food books. Tirman is a sports and atheletic medicine specialist. Both guests will talk about Tirman's new book “The Wine and Food Lover’s Diet.” Petrosky is a frequent guest on our show and her book is called The Wine Club.

Julia Scheeres discusses her memoir "Jesus Land." From her website: "The book begins with our move to rural Indiana and our transition from a tiny Christian school to a large, public school where David and my other adopted black brother were the only minority students. It ends with David and me on a beach in the Dominican Republic. It’s a pretty wild ride between these two events."

MJ Ryan, author of "This Year I Will...", will talk about her practical guide of following through with your New Year's Resolutions. Author of the "Happiness Is..." series she has created a "doing" guide addresses the sound applications of Buddhism and other life affirming self-help techniques.
