The Singers' Circle

2:00 p.m. - Suzanne Vick, The Singers' Circle Women rule on “The Singers’ Circle” this month! To help promote the upcoming “Women of Song” benefit concert (happening on March 3 at Acoustic Café), area songwriters Ellen Sackman and Liz McNicholl will join Melissa & Suzanne in the studio for an all-live songwriter round. That’s right, ALL LIVE! Ellen Sackman started singing with rock bands at the age of 15 in Bristol, England, and, in addition to showcasing herself as a solo artist, has performed locally with Tin Roof (rock), The Black Moon Band (country) and most recently with Bird ‘n Boys (rock/blues). Ellen knows how to belt in the best angry-girl tradition, a feat she’s sure to display on the air! Liz McNicholl, a native of Meath County, Ireland, has been singing in the US since she was 18. She performs in the CT area with her own band, whose music can be described as "Americana/folk." In 2002, Liz released her first album entitled “Grand Central Station.” Technorati tags: , , , , ,
