Binnie Klein interviews Andrea Ray

10:30 a.m. - Binnie Klein Binnie interviews NYC-based artist Andrea Ray, about her three-part multi-media installation at Wesleyan University's Center for the Arts, inspired by the 40th anniversary of the May 2, 1968 student uprisings in Paris. The piece, called Desire, reflects "a repetitive search for things seemingly unattainable--a complete understanding of war, an experience of productive social change through protest, and an association with an effective community. As its title might suggest, Ray's work ruminates on desire, on the state of wanting and lack." Technorati tags: ,
