  • 10 AM Our guests Thomas Cathcart and Daniel Klein are the authors of the “Plato and a Platypus Walk into a Bar . . .” From the publisher’s website: “This New York Times bestseller is the hilarious philosophy course everyone wishes they’d had in school has been a breakout bestseller.”
  • 10:20 AM Pulitzer Prize winner Robert Olen Butler is back on the program. His new book is called “Intercourse.” The Chicago Tribune says that Butler “conveys the thoughts of people (and in one instance, chickens) in the act of copulation. On one page comes the monologue of one participant, on the facing page his or her partner's. That the two are pressed together when you close the book is a nice little bonus.”

We’ll hear from Chris Smither, Eliza Gilkyson , Janis Ian, Patty Larkin, David Massengill, Jack Hardy, Bill Evans, Eddy From Ohio, John Gorka, Vance Gilbert, and Martin Sexton.
