Elana James in the studio

2:30 p.m. - Art Hanson “When one door closes, another opens” might be a cliché, but don’t tell that to fiddle player and vocalist Elana James. When the band she’d worked with for nearly a decade (Hot Club of Cowtown) dissolved, Elana was invited to join Bob Dylan’s band, and what she learned touring with a legend led to the February release of her solo debut, “Elana James.” Elana James along with guitarist Whit Smith and bassist Beau Sample will be performing live on WPKN at 2:30 pm on Friday, March 30th, hosted by Art Hanson. Elana’s band will be playing at Café Nine in New Haven, later that night at 9:00 pm. Technorati tags: , , , , ,
