- 9:00 a.m.:Immigrant Voices: Anthony Riccio presents the second episode in the series, titled "Voices from the Great Depression"; In this broadcast we will listen to excerpts of recorded oral history interviews with Italian Americans from New Haven and Boston who recount their experiences surviving the Depression and how people, because neighborhoods and families were intact, pulled together to help one another during difficult economic times. The stories will reconstruct not only personal and family struggles but will revisit some of Boston and New Haven's neighborhoods.The program will include popular and traditional music of the period.
