July 18 in West Simsbury: Demonstration BioDiesel for Cars & Home-heating, and a Solar Electric System
The Solar Energy Association of Connecticut invites you to an On-Site Demonstration and Discussion of “ BioDiesel for Cars & Home-heating, and a Solar Electric System ” on Saturday, July 18, 2009 ( 1:30 PM) at Flamig Farm, 7 Shingle Mill Road, WestSimsbury.

BioDiesel for Cars and Home-heating will be discussed by David Henri and Nevin
Christiansen, Specialists in Biodiesel.
Transportation and home-heating are major energy users. Alternatives to the conventional petroleum-based vehicles and heating systems are urgently needed. In addition to answering basic questions about biofuels, the speakers will demonstrate a bio-diesel processor, which converts vegetable oil to bio-diesel.
A Solar Electric (PV) System at this farm will also be shown and discussed. The Solar Energy Association of Connecticut, Inc., is a nonprofit, educational organization (active since 1976) that supports and promotes the use of renewable energies and environmentally acceptable technologies.
