California '66 Tour - WPKN Benefit Thursday August 6 in Fairfield

WPKN BENEFIT CONCERT - THURSDAY, AUGUST 6 IN FAIRFIELD Music history will be made on Thursday, August 6th at 8:00 pm at The Quick Center for the Arts at Fairfield University, Fairfield, CT. Join music lovers and WPKN-supporters in an exclusive version of the California ‘66 Tour that pulls into town this Thursday! . For one-night only, L.A.-based bands The Electric Prunes and LOVE with Johnny Echols & Baby Lemonade will take to the stage with New York-based The Blues Magoos for a one-of-a-kind performance. Never before have these bands played together...and it’s unlikely they ever will again! This will be the only U.S. appearance of The Electric Prunes on this tour. They are flying in to do this WPKN benefit; while The Blues Magoos are also coming together to play for only the 4th time in the last 40 years as a group. Both bands have shown their big hearts to help with this WPKN benefit- the Magoos jumping in after the untimely passing of Sky Saxon from The Seeds who was originally on the bill. Thank you Peppy Castro for making this work and bringing your band mates together to help WPKN radio. We have another exclusive. The Pig Light Show will be doing a custom-designed light show for this event. The Pig Light Show was the house show for the Fillmore East in NYC during their final two years, having taken over from The Joshua Light Show. Thank you Marc Rubenstein, founder of The Pig Light Show who is coming to join us from Maine for this special evening.
