Interview with pianist Harold Mabern

3:15 PM - Piano great Harold Mabern will be Phil Bowler's guest on Jazz Adventures. This will be his first appearance on the show. Mr. Mabern, a noted composer and educator, has performed and in some cases, recorded with: Jimmy Forrest, Lionel Hampton, the Jazztet, Donald Byrd, Miles Davis, J.J. Johnson (1963-1965), Sonny Rollins, Freddie Hubbard, Wes Montgomery, Joe Williams, and Sarah Vaughan. He will be performing with The George Coleman Quartet this Saturday night at 8 PM in Danbury, CT as part of the Wooster Jazz Concert Series.
