Where?' presents a special performance by Sicilian singer and percussionist Michela Musolino, with Marco Cappelli on guitar and Kato Hideki on bass. It will be a great evening of Italian tradition and roots music, so don't miss being in the studio audience. Call WPKN at 203-331-9756 during business hours (10 AM to 5 PM) for reservations. Friday, October 21 9:00 PM - Cosmic Jibaros concert (Rescheduled from last week) Cosmic Jibaros, recorded at WPKN's studios on October 1st. This band draws Latin and non-Latin audiences to dance to their highly rhythmic, party-starting sounds -- "but we still have traditional [Latin] elements and the salsero people come in, and they get it." Saturday, October 22 3-6 pm Ken Best Joy Rose and Housewives on Prozac will be in the studio and offering up CDs as premiums for WPKN fundraising. 7:30 PM - Tribal Drum Circle - Live (Rescheduled from last week) The 15th WPKN/Quest Tribal Drum Circle will take place across the hall from our studios. Come join WPKN programmers and listeners in an exuberant celebration of life, freedom, and the power of our community. Our joyous noise will inspire support for WPKN. We gather for snacks around 7 (contributions welcome) and go on the air at 7:30. The first hour includes fundraising, and then pure percussion will follow. Everyone is welcome, regardless of musical experience. This is a great time to visit the station! Directions to WPKN are on the website: www.wpkn.org.
