Django may be the its most famous proponent, but this special one hour program will introduce you to a whole continent of sounds from the traditional to the avant garde.

  • 11:30 a.m. Binnie Klein welcomes science writer Hannah Holmes to Apes Update, to discuss her new book ( "The Well-Dressed Ape: A Natural History of Myself" (Random House). "With humor and clarity, she explores the facts, fictions, and hopes about the species Homo Sapiens" (Library Journal)

  • Concert performances recorded at Yale University in New Haven, hosted by composer Martin Bresnick. This month, Jay Wadley's "If I Spoke, I'd be Screaming" and Yoshiaki Onishi's "ref." performed by the Yale Philharmonia Orchestra, and Martin Bresnick's "Trio for Piano, Violin, and Violoncello."
