  • Jazz Worldwide: Gypsy Jazz. Guest Micheal Stone presents a special one hour program of jazz from around the world, inspired by Gypsy traditions from across Europe. Django may be the its most famous proponent, but this special one hour program will introduce you to a whole continent of sounds from the traditional to the avant garde.

  • 11:30 a.m. Binnie Klein welcomes science writer Hannah Holmes to Apes Update, to discuss her new book (www.hannahholmes.com) "The Well-Dressed Ape: A Natural History of Myself" (Random House). "With humor and clarity, she explores the facts, fictions, and hopes about the species Homo Sapiens" (Library Journal)

  • Concert performances recorded at Yale University in New Haven, hosted by composer Martin Bresnick. This month, Jay Wadley's "If I Spoke, I'd be Screaming" and Yoshiaki Onishi's "ref." performed by the Yale Philharmonia Orchestra, and Martin Bresnick's "Trio for Piano, Violin, and Violoncello."

  • The human voice takes the spotlight once again in our all-a cappella extravaganza! The renowned World/Slavic ensemble, Kitka (www.kitka.org) is scheduled to stop by for a live performance (on their way to New Haven, where they'll be presenting a free concert that night at 9:00 at Yale's Dwight Hall).
