  • Lara Herscovitch will be gracing the airwaves on The Singer’s Circle this month. For those who aren't yet familiar with her, Lara is a unique and charismatic songwriter and performer whose music is an original and skillful blend of contemporary acoustic/folk blended with pop, and at various times Latin, jazz, and blues. Just named CT's State Troubadour for 2009, Lara has opened for artists including Patty Larkin, John Gorka, Cheryl Wheeler, Cliff Eberhardt, Vance Gilbert, and Eric Anderson, and she has shared the stage with the late jazz great Joe Beck, Sloan Wainwright, Mustard's Retreat, Pat Wictor and Radoslav Lorkovic, among many others. Needless to say, we are thrilled to have Lara on the show with us! There is also a rumor that Dylan Connor may be joining us on the air this month as well. That is, if he can break away from the throng of fans surrounding his house
  • Melissa Mulligan chats with Kicking Daisies. What the heck are Kicking Daisies? A band of rock prodigies, that's what! Kicking Daisies came together in the fall of 2008 at The Chef's Table in Fairfield, CT - a mecca for musicians and music biz folks. Owner Rich Herzfeld introduced music prodigies Duran, Caitlin, Ben and Carly and so began a journey that has taken band into the studio with renowned producer Michael Mangini (Jonas Brothers, Joss Stone) to record their debut CD. Melissa has been sharing her vocal expertise with the kids and will be chatting with them live on the air. The band also will be performing acoustic versions of tunes from their forthcoming album.
